The goal of this project was to get something science fiction. The best thing I could think of was to take a picture of a light under water. This is what I did, I took a picture against water and it shot my flash back making it seem like there was light under the water. Then to add more to the picture I went in to photoshop to add some more lights. This picture and project did not turn out like I wanted it to and this was the most difficult one for me because of the criteria and the use of imagination.

This is my public statement picture. This one actually effects me and my life. I have a piece of property around Billings that I hunt on. This land is now bein taken over by a corperation for land developement and now the land that I have hunted for three years now has no trespassing signs all over it. It is wrong to take land like this and turn it over to a corperation for land development when this land has been open for public use for years and years. People around this area just lost a big asset and a big recreation area that provided fun to a business. The land will never be the same again and the peoples land is slowly being taken over all over the land. So watch out for your favorite piece of land to be snagged up by a greedy CEO.

This is one of my hound dogs name Champ. He was what I decided to take a portrait of. I didn't want to take a staged picture and my dogs are always on the move so this was a natural shot of him just being him. Since he doesnt stay still for long I was not able to use a tripod as was desired for a portrait. I took many pictures but I liked this one the best because of the way he is positioned and the back drop. It gives you the gray look and it brings in light from the door in the back. This was a fun shoot and was relatively easy since I had unlimited time with my dogs that day I could take pictures how I wanted.

In the first picture my goal was to get the motion streak from the lights. I obtained that goal and it turned out fairly well I thought. This was actually a pretty easy picture because there was enough light for the camera to get this picture without a flash and that is what made it possible. I belive if the flash would have come on it would have blurred the picture and wouldn't have given it the quality that was accomplished. The second picture was easier since it was just a still shot, however the flash did come on with this one and it kind of brought light to the chain link in front of it. That part of the picture I dont like in particular. The goal for this picture was just to get the night shot but I came across these old trucks and cars with christmas lights on them and I just couldn't pass up that oppurtunity. These shots were probably some of the hardest pictures and settings that I had to use. I would much rather have shot in the day time at an animal or some scenery. This project presented some interesting challenges.
